And I wouldn't be surprised to learn that the production team helped tip Jamie over the edge of accomplishing his goal. I wouldn't go so far as to think the whole event was pre-manufactured though. I really like the idea behind the show, but the actual production of it - not very much. It's too much reality show, instead of documentary. But anyway, it's preaching to the choir towards me, so my opinion doesn't really matter. Regarding Jamie's failures - they showed some of that, but in the most recent episode he had a HUGE success, so much so that it seemed pre-manufactured to me. Or maybe I'm just a bit too cynical?
